It is not common for you to have to pay tax/duty when importing something into the country. But tax/duty is something unavoidable and unpredictable, and we do not have control over it. The customer is required to pay tax/duty for his/her shipment, if occurred. Word of advice, tax/duty most probably won't occur if the package is small (e.g. less than 6 items).
